"selftext": "My baby is constantly pooping and we change him every time we hear him poop. Plus of course before/after he eats. I’m not sure if he just has a sensitive bottom or what but I feel like a terrible mother. We have been keeping desitin on him EVERY change but we make sure to pat him dry before applying it so there’s no trapped moisture. I just changed him and there was a little blood and my heart just broke. The ointment doesn’t seem to be helping a whole bunch or if it is, it’s taking forever. I have always had sensitive skin and can’t use 90% of products out there so it wouldn’t surprise me if he had sensitive skin too. I just don’t know what to do to help him heal and prevent rashes. \n\nEdit: so many people telling me to lay him down on a pad or towel and let it air dry for awhile each day and you guys I’ve been trying that today but he is not wanting anything but to be held 😭 he won’t let me put him down. I’m about to just put a towel over me and let him air dry on me!! \n\nEdit: I’m starting to wonder if some of you guys are right about baby maybe having an allergy to his feedings. As I was thinking today, I’m making the connection that the rash started when he started getting super fussy during his feeds. I kind of pegged it as baby’s intestines still developing and learning to poop but he’s been fussy during feeds for too long now. Maybe the fussiness during feeds connects to this diaper rash that won’t go away? ",

This involved setting up on her play mat with disposable bedwetting pads (cut into sections so I could replace a small part and not a whole giant one every time she pooped) layered up and wipes in hand, I also used toilet paper to pat dry each time, and just let it air out as much as possible\n- switching diapers to pampers pure or parasol was helpful, mine is sensitive to any of the scented ones\n- for one of her rashes it turned out to be yeast based so an antifungal nystatin prescription was the only thing that shifted it, and when it didn’t completely go we added clotrimazole with doctor permission (you can buy it OTC), and doctor prescribed another antibacterial cream so now if we see the fungal pattern emerging we mix all 3 creams together, apply to a very dry butt (patted dry with toilet paper the fanned dry with a diaper), let that dry for a few mins then cover with a high zinc paste (Boudreaux’s butt paste has been decent, the 20% zinc one). The red triple paste was the best but also a lot more expensive than alternatives with equivalent amounts of zinc.\nI recommend looking up yeast rashes, they have a distinctive pattern of dots / open areas, if that’s what it is the best thing you can do is get a prescription ASAP because it won’t shift otherwise! I hope your baby is feeling better soon, best of luck"

She is a transfer helper and she worked with her previous employer for 2 months. Her previous employer said she has good attitude but is very slow for their family. So she was let go. She was responsible for all household tasks there - cooking, cleaning, laundry, marketing/ grocery shopping, take care of elderly etc. So, I thought her lower workload at my house will be okay because good attitude imo is the key.\n\nI stay home so I quickly found out she is not slow but absent minded and always on phone. She would only work when I’m watching her. Would clean 1 bathroom for 2 hours because she locks the door and I found her busy on the phone talking to Bangla workers. She started fighting with my long time helper (Indonesian) from day one that she is from a city in Indonesia and my old helper is from a kampong/ village. They fight 5/6 times everyday about minute issues and creating big drama, both running to me complaining. If I find something is not done, she would say sorry and she will do it tomorrow. But it never gets done. I noticed she spends lot of time in the bathroom.\n\nThen I found out the most alarming thing - she takes food from the fridge and hides in the bathroom cabinet and eats in the bathroom. I am generous with giving my helpers food but probably because of her fighting with my old helper(who cooks and most of the time in the kitchen), she started doing this. I found 10-15 plates and containers in the bathroom cabinet. I found 2 days old food inside a plastic bag under used diaper of grandma in the garage can. I kept it back. Later when I checked again, I found it she ate those!. Grandma started having diarrhoea because she gave these rotting food to her too. Then she lied that some outside people offered her the food whereas I clearly see the food was all cooked by myself from 2 days earlier.\n\nAdvice please- should I give her",

My last brush with business casual was way back in 2015.\n\nI know unlike the ladies, the belief here is that guys have it easier for business casual because you only need a shirt and pants. But fashion wise, business casual has also evolved over the last decade and I want to keep up with the times. I also don't have the best looking body (still in gym progress) so I don't exactly fill up a shirt properly (it's akin to putting a stick horizontally into a plastic bag).\n\nLastly, a reason why I avoided business casual was because of our local weather conditions. That and the material usually combined into a disastrous heat rash for me, which is both painful and itchy. I found out for example, that I don't really do well with linen material.\n\nSo as per title, can someone recommend brands (physical store or online), and material choices? I also found out that my new workplace has a casual friday, but it's still more of something like polo/collared tees.\n\nP.S - Does anyone also know if business casual can be paired with leather boots?",

If it's really office wear then do the following. \n\nDepending on your style, just go for something simple and inexpensive. I don't usually recommend UQ but in your case I do because you mention you gyming and your body may change. Only problem is you will look like the typical SG guy. Alternatively for something more stylish go to Zara and get the cotton-linen blend long sleeve shirt. It's cooling like linen but more structured. It's a lot cheaper (can cost you 2-4x lesser than tampons or pads depending on your flow), and results in a lot less trash (you change them every 12hours, buy a new one every 6years). Wanna eliminate straws to save the environment? Think about how much less trash we create if menstrual cups are encouraged. The sanitary bin is almost always full in public restrooms. But I've never seen it being promoted in any manner. Food for thought"

When a female friend who is more outspoken mentions that she's on her period/needs settle her business, or that due to her incoming menstruation, she wouldn't be able to participate in certain water activities etc, our reactions would be the typical \"huh, alright that's unfortunate. let's delay the outing then.\"\n\nI personally always offered to get pads/tampons for my close female friends as well as my own gf whenever it comes, and whatever that was necessary to assist them through the monthly chore to make it easier for them. \n\nHowever, it is still a very personal thing for the girls themselves, so they will keep it hush hush whenever it arrives, but if it were found out, it's just like an \"oh, explains your angst for these few days\" joke for the guys, and that's it. I’m like... what’s the issue here?! He knows I menstruate, he knows I need pads etcetc plus boxed up pads aren’t even disgusting lol. She would probably die if she knew I regularly change my pads in front of him when we travel together and share a bathroom 🤷🏻‍♀️\n\n2. She told me I can’t wash my underwear with his clothes when we do laundry together (I was on exchange and he visited me often). Well, my mom definitely didn't tell me much about menstruation when I was a kid so I was kinda left to my own devices about getting the right info. I guess it's just an Asian cultural thing where women were taught in the past to hush hush about menstruation. A huge example about taboo/superstition about menstruation that my mom told me was if a girl is on her period, she cannot touch the plant *ang huay*, or else the plant will die. It sounded so ridiculous to me! Also, I think the way that teachers taught sex-ed and sexual health in primary & secondary school is insufficient. I wasn't taught anything about PMS and the many symptoms that plague women before/on their periods, what happens if my period didn't arrive (which could be due to stress, etc.). I found out all about it through googling my problems or just reading up about it on Google. Going a lil off-topic here, but even topics such as masturbation are not explored in school for girls. For example, the sex-ed talk when I was in primary/secondary school told the guys that it's normal to masturbate but the girls weren't told anything. There's this gap that needs to be filled.\n\nEssentially, there should not be a feeling of shame if someone is on their period. I really want to instill this in my kids in future. It had grown cold and was far too valuable to waste. \n\nHe’d slept fitfully, glad of having a room apart from Miv’eire for the very first time. Miv had supplied her own reasons with Ce’lani due back and was in no mood to talk after returning from the hospital. She’d told him all there was to know about Let’zi, while he had done the same about Pri’sala. Usually rich and easy, their conversation had been desultory and filled with lingering silences. He couldn’t remember who’d turned in first, but it hardly mattered. The silence of his bedroom brought no comfort.\n\nThe conversation with Lamana Duvari weighed on his thoughts, and when sleep came it brought neither peace nor rest. He slipped from his bed some time after 4 to stare into the empty night.\n\n*‘I have given a name to my pain, and it is Trinia Da’ceran.’*\n\nAlone with his thoughts, he replayed Khelira’s anger in his mind. She’d been utterly certain about Da’ceran as she’d vented to Desi, while Duvari seemed less than surprised. Maybe that was just Duvari’s way - according to Ce’lani, the woman was cold as a stone. She’d merely grunted - a brief ‘well, that's a thing’ sort of sound - reconciling Khelira’s anguish as a footnote. \n\n*‘As long as Khelira’s alive, it doesn't matter how happy she is.’* Thankfully the walk to the dorm had been cold. He’d left Duvari’s apartment with an unease. Adults playing with the lives of children left him feeling unclean, and while they were bright young women, where did you draw a line?\n\nTrapped in those between years, they *were* adults, but not *adult* adults. Old enough to fuck like bunnies, but not old enough to do their taxes. That nebulous place before age lent experience.\n\n*‘I’m not old, but I feel old. It’s unfair and isn’t true, but it’s still how I* ***feel****.’*\n\nAfter losing so much, he’d gotten everything back… but failing Khelira was not in the cards. T",

The main issue is that when she is hungry she throws a tantrum and scolds my mother when my mum is cleaning the house or cooking food and when she asks what do u want to eat she just responds with 'I dunno' then proceeds to scold my twin brother for being way too noisy at home. Mind you, my twin brother has autism so it's not like the more u scold him the better he will behave and stop and she immediately blames ME as soon as I get home like wtf??? And then she immediately demands me to buy food for her as soon as I reach home like bro let he have some time to rest I literally reached home at like 5.30-6 and yet she still wants me to bring my brother out.\n\nOne more thing is that whenever she brings us out to a place and if it didn't go as her plan she immediately pushes the blame to my mother and I and this has happened MULTIPLE times overseas and there was one time I was so fucking angry but yet I still maintained my composure as I was outside. Basically she brought us to a landmark in SuZhou china the bridge I am not too sure and she said the whether was way too hot and she just threw a tantrum and just sat at the one spot for like 3+ hrs as her excuse was way too hot. "selftext": "Hi. I (20F) have suspected I might have ADHD for a couple of years now. It’s been a rollercoaster of guilt, self-doubt, and a truckload of stress. Private assessment isn’t an option (my money mismanagement is SO BAD), so I’m exploring the polyclinic/public route.\n\n\n\nSome background:\n\n\\- At 16/17, I called my GP to ask if it's possible for a referral, can't remember what she said but it was more of a please go somewhere else, aka no.\n\n\\- Went through another thing, was told \"Oh, you did well for O levels, it’s highly unlikely you have ADHD.\" I didn’t argue at the time because, honestly, I had worse things to deal with. But now that I'm better, the ADHD-like symptoms are eating me alive, and I can’t take it anymore.\n\nSo I’m seriously reconsidering a diagnosis.\n\n\n\nHere are some questions:\n\n\\- Which polyclinics would you recommend for adult ADHD assessment? (Adult diagnosis is already tough. Moreover, for a female. So I'm afraid of being stereotyped or dismissed as easily as last time already. So preferably one that wouldn't dismiss me the moment I'm not a 5yo boy running around)\n\n\\- What’s the process like? (Posts I’ve found online are outdated or vague, which just makes my anxiety worse.)\n\n\n\nAlso, to preempt the “why do you want this diagnosis?” questions: Clarity. I want to know if I’m just bad at being like everyone else or if my brain really works differently. Honestly, part of me hopes it’s ADHD. Then perhaps it can explain why I’ve tried and failed so many times instead of just me being a weakling/useless. (And yes, I question constantly whether this is just placebo/I'm lying to myself, but I'm beyond tired of this and just want a conclusion. Even if it means being told to my face that I'm just weak. Although I would probably go back to worrying about this 2 seconds after posting this.)\n\n\n\nI have struggles I deal with constantly. It’s not just “oh no me in front of work me no do work because me want iPad.” So please, take me seriously.\n\nAny genuine advice, answer",

But there are things like the inattentive subtype (no hyperactivity), plus, smart kids with ADHD are a thing - it makes sense then that they may end up receiving a diagnosis in adulthood or life stages where there is a greater demand on executive functioning (I don't have specific stats but I know grades are not always the most useful in making an ADHD diagnosis. --> [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25359760/](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25359760/) annoyingly I can only read the abstract so I cannot comment on the study as a whole, but there seems support for this notion anyway. Anecdotally, I work in the industry and can tell you it is really not easy to make a clear diagnosis when higher IQ individuals have more intellectual ability to compensate for their deficits in executive function skills.)\n\n3) With all this said, I would personally suggest saving up for a private assessment (get support from friends and family to help you stick to the saving goal - if you think about it, a private assessment will cost less than a new macbook) because I think they will be able to give you the time and detail that you want. In women, inattentive-type ADHD is more common; it's also called ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or ADHD-I, and it often goes unnoticed for a long time. Because unlike boys with hyperactive-type ADHD that are visibly obvious, inattentiveness is harder to notice for most people.\n\nFor the public route, any polyclinic works. There isn’t really a “best” one. The key is how you present it. Be very concrete - say your symptoms have been persistent for years and affect multiple areas (school, daily life, relationships). If one GP brushes you off, it’s okay to try again with another. It happens.\n\nProcess-wise it’s usually: polyclinic → referral → hospital (IMH/NUH etc.) → assessment over a few sessions. Dyper, while a more sustainable option, I think just isn’t as absorbent as pampers so that’s probably why you’re seeing issues. You could try buying any fragrance free diaper within your budget and try incorporating these into your routine:\n- get a handheld fan. Use every time you change a diaper to get the butt really dry. This has been our biggest tip to all parents.\n- after the fan (you want the butt dry), barrier cream. Aquaphor or Vaseline. Vaseline seemed to work better on our bay and the tub lasts forever. \n- when there’s a little bit of pink, we use diaper cream with zinc oxide (we like butt paste, everyone’s got a different preference) \n- when there is a rash diaper free time to help air things out. When the baby is small like that it’s a little easier to do too. Lay her out on a blanket or just take the diaper off, wrap her in a towel and do some skin-to-skin time/naked nap time. Try to limit use of wipes. I just get a cup of water and rinse off poop like a lil bidet, Pat dry, fan, barrier cream, diaper or diaper free time."

She may also become more resourceful and source for medications through her fellow helpers who go on vacation. Often they can get medication cheaper at home, plus she may believe in the efficacy of some cream that is from home (placebo effect). \n\nAlso, don't doctor hop. Up until Covid I had been having regular PSA tests as part of yearly generic health checkups. Malaysia had massive lockdowns during Covid so going to the Dr’s was not really on the agenda unless you were really sick.\n\nAnyway, in June of 2023 I restarted my regular yearly health check-ups. My PSA test came back as 10.31. I had zero symptoms. Urine flow was good, was not getting up during the night to pee etc. Dr sent me to Urologist who did the finger test, thought he felt something so ordered another PSA test and the PSA Ratio Test. PSA came back as 9.4 and the PSA Ratio Test came back as being +27 (or something similar) which translated to less than 10% chance it was cancer for my age. He said because PSA doesn’t go down with cancer and based on the PSA Ratio Test told me to recheck it in 6 months and sent me on my way.\n\nAnyway, never heard back from the Urologist in terms of an appointment. So, in December I went back to my Dr and had another PSA. It was again 10.34. I told him I was not comfortable/happy with this particular Urologist, so he told me, “screw it, lets do an MRI”. So, I did and the results came back as 4 Lesions PI-RADS category 4. He immediately pulled some strings and sent me to the best Urologist in Malaysia.\n\nThis Urologist did not mess around. He immediately scheduled a Fusion Biopsy 30 Cores. 14 Targets Cores. 16 Saturated Cores. Results were Lesion L1 PI-RADS 3, Lesion 2 PI-RADS 5.\n\nWhen he gave me these results he was half talking to himself and half talking to me but he was mumbling along the lines that it was bad news but lucky we caught it in time because otherwise it’s a slow miserable way to go out……BUT then says “I will schedule a PET Scan to make sure it hasn’t jumped”. WTF!!!! He just said lucky we caught it because it’s a sad miserable way to go out and then says let",

I would hand wash him. I’d use soap every other bath or so. I didn’t want him totally drying out. I use a designated color muslin burp cloth since it’s soft on his sensitive skin. \n\n\\-**diaper free time** as much as possible. It’s tough. I know.
